Emergency Closure Procedure

Please note the following procedure will be used if it becomes necessary to close the school. This will happen if the roads are impassable or if the site is dangerous for students, staff and visitors.

Parents/Guardians, Students and Staff will be informed via:

• A notice on the home page of the school’s website (www.hedingham.essex.sch.uk) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/hedinghamschool/)
• Our Arbor in-app messaging system
  Text message to parents and staff who have provided a mobile phone number
• A notice on Essex County Council’s School closure Page http://www.essex.gov.uk/Education-Schools/Schools/Dates/Pages/Emergency-School-Closures.aspx

The buses will not run if the roads are dangerous. Students should come into school whenever there is no broadcast to tell them otherwise.

Staff should attempt to get into school, whenever possible unless informed of a closure.

In the event of a school closure the below work is made available to students if they are are able to access it. Please select the relevant work for your child (KS3 = Year 7, 8 and 9).
