CURRICULUM INTENT

In our Sixth Form's Digital Media course, students are equipped with vital skills for the ever-changing digital media landscape. This practical, A-level equivalent course covers Media Products & Audiences, Pre-Production & Planning, and Creating Media Products, focusing on the creation, delivery, and impact of media content. Students gain practical experience in content production across various media forms, alongside theoretical insights into media ownership, ethics, and regulation. Key elements include understanding audience targeting, navigating social media in a globalized context, and creating online advertising campaigns. The course balances theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing students for careers in areas like Film & TV, marketing, and social media. This integrated approach fosters creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability, essential in the dynamic field of digital media.
