We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and talented teacher to join a very successful and supportive department committed to raising student achievement.

The post would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong and dedicated team within the Maths Learning Area and will have opportunities to teach across the age and ability range, including Sixth Form, and to contribute to enrichment activities. The department will provide a well-resourced and stimulating working environment where an emphasis will be placed on continuing professional development to enhance the career of the successful applicant.

GCSE results in Science are well above national averages and in recent years have placed us in the top 10% schools in the country. We also have large and thriving groups for all 3 A level sciences and an exciting programme of extra-curricular activities including overseas trips to Iceland and CERN. Candidates should be enthusiastic, keen and able to inspire students to succeed in their subject.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, inspirational and creative Computer Scientist to lead an exciting and growing subject area.

The successful candidate will:

· Be an enthusiastic and highly accomplished classroom practitioner.

· Have a good degree and the ability to teach up to A-Level Computer Science.

· Have a knowledge of a range of software applications and programming languages.

· Understand the needs of students and how to remove learning barriers.

· Be able to offer leadership within the Computer Science and IT subject area and have the potential to lead across the school.
