TEACHER OF GERMAN
Required April or September 2019
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and highly motivated teacher to teach German across the ability range and up to Key Stage 4. An ability to teach French up to at least KS3 would be an advantage. We will also consider applications from French specialists who can teach German up to at least KS4.
The successful candidate will have a real passion for teaching and learning. Our new colleague should be a forward looking teacher who is a good team player and who can enable our students to enjoy and achieve so they are inspired to continue learning a language.
The post would equally suit a newly qualified or more experienced teacher who wants to further their career in a supportive environment.
Modern Foreign Languages is a very important subject area within the curriculum and is taught in its own suite of rooms with access to excellent resources. The current languages on offer are German and French. Our extensive range of overseas engagements include day trips, residential visits and an exchange.
Hedingham is a popular and successful school. Student progress and attainment is consistently strong. Last year 74% of students gained 4+ in both English and Mathematics at GCSE.
