
The Rt Hon James Cleverly MP officially opens Hedingham School’s new T-Level Block.
Hedingham School was delighted to welcome the Rt Hon James Cleverly MP onto the school site to
officially open the new T-Level block.
The area comprises of two ‘state of the art’ classrooms resourced with 21st century computer
technology. There is also a break-out room which will act as a conference meeting place for
strategic and purposeful discussions. Hedingham have launched the Digital Business Services T-Level
and will be keen to recruit students from North-East Essex and Suffolk region for a September 2023
start. The 2-year course offers the unique opportunity to experience an extended work placement,
as well as study for this high-profile Level 3 qualification. The blend of academic study which links
closely with industry is the key feature of the course.
Darren Batch, Strategic Lead for T-Levels at Hedingham, says “it’s been a long journey in planning
and development to deliver T-Levels to Hedingham School but to now see this fantastic resource
open and being used by our students is very rewarding”
Andy Harvison, Headteacher, commented “I would like to thank Mr Cleverly for taking time out of
his busy schedule and recognising the importance of this qualification at Hedingham School.
Students enjoyed meeting and talking with him during the visit. We now look forward to further
development in this area as we strive to broaden the educational pathways for all students.
IT Student, Josh Cumbers further added: “I enjoyed showing Mr Cleverly the new computers and
new T-Level block. It was great to see him visit our school!”
