Updated 11 SEPTEMBER Uniform Update 11.9.18: School Trends have confirmed any emails received suggesting orders have been cancelled or refunded were generated in error. They will be emailing parents today to apologise. They confirm all orders are still in place and the goods will be delivered asap. We hope that reassures parents a little.
We have lodged complaints at the highest level and will share School Trends response with parents. However, this whole situation is highly unsatisfactory and is particularly disappointing as the process undertaken to evaluate uniform providers was robust and this company were chosen in part because of their excellent track record and references. They are aware of the seriousness of the issues which has jeopardised our ongoing relationship with them and that we will keep our uniform provision under review
UPDATE 7 SEPTEMBER Uniform Update PE Tops: We have had a small number of calls from Parents regarding PE tops arriving without the school logo. We have contacted School Trends who are reviewing all PE orders and for any tops that have been dispatched without a logo they will send a replacement with the logo free of charge. Students may wear the non logo version in the interim. School Trends helpline number is 01142 512501.
We are awaiting, and continuing to press for, a full response as to what steps School Trends intend to take in terms of compensation or the actions they will take to restore the confidence of the school and parents. We will share their response with parents once this is received. They are aware of the seriousness of the issues which has jeopardised our ongoing relationship with them and that we will keep our uniform provision under review.
UPDATE 3 SEPTEMBER - We are writing to update you regarding the issues that have been experiencing with the new uniform provider over the summer closure. We are painfully aware of the unnecessary stress and strain this situation has caused parents and students.
The problems were initially thought to be restricted to ties and PE kit but this week parents have been reporting problems with blazer deliveries. School Trends have confirmed there has been an in-house IT issue with orders that were placed towards the end of July. This problem has extended across all their schools. where by blazer orders at the end of July were not communicated to the finishing company. This problem only became evident to them when parents began chasing orders.
We have been in daily contact with the company and the latest information we have is that up to 60 orders from Hedingham have been affected and delivery will be delayed until 7th September 2018.
Uniform at Start of Term – In the meantime if your child’s blazer is affected by this problem please send them in white shirt, uniform trousers/skirt with a tie if possible. We would like to reassure parents and students that if any student does not receive their full uniform in time due to these problems they will not be penalised in any way once term starts.
All Staff will be made aware of the situation when they return to school tomorrow and we will do all we can to minimises the impact for student affected.
PE Kit – As previously advised the new PE kit is compulsory for Year 7 joining the school in September and optional for remaining years. Please see below information regarding the approach to take for parents who have ordered but do not receive the new PE kit in time for the start of term.
Year 7 - Please note if any Year 7 students do not receive the new PE Kit for the start of term students may wear plain shorts and a t-shirt in the interim period. We would recommend Year 7 parents who have not done so to still place their orders for PE kit as soon as possible to reduce any further delay in dispatch.
Year 8-11 Student may continue to wear the Royal Blue PE kit. Please note if parents of students from these year groups have ordered new PE kit and it does not arrive in time for the start of term students may wear plain shorts and a t-shirt in the interim period.

If Parent and Carers do not have access to the internet they can use the order form on this page and order by post.
There will be a sizing event in the main school hall for current students on Monday 9 July running from 4.00 – 8.00 pm. As well as being able to try the clothing for size parents will be able to place orders and pay for them at this event. Please note for students joining Year 7 there will be a further sizing event on Monday 16
July from 6.30 – 8.30 pm supporting our new intake evening.
There are no minimum order quantities and your uniform will be delivered directly to your chosen address. As well as our approved branded school uniform, you are also able to order plain items such as trousers, skirts and shirts.
Other ordering information including sizes, delivery information and the returns procedure is also available online. Please allow 14 days for delivery at peak times.
To provide maximum flexibility our current uniform supplier, Baldwins (59-61 High Street, Halstead, CO9 2JD, Tel. 01787 472079) will continue to supply blazers, ties and other non-branded uniform items such as trousers, skirts and shirts.
We have taken the opportunity to update our PE Kit. This will be compulsory for Year 7 joining the school in September and optional for remaining years. School Trends will also make available a variety of non-branded base layers and other PE items which may be of interest.
