Adam was nominated for the Jack Petchey Award for October 2019. Adam has been given this Award for successfully writing and self-published his first book which is an amazing achievement. Adam is a credit to the school.

Congratulations to Tara Clackett: she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for September 2019.
Tara was nominated for the Jack Petchey Award for September 2019. Tara has been given this Award for successfully presenting the Summer Interhouse Arts Festival, showing motivation for volunteering for this role and for community effort. Also, she regularly spends time after school in the Music Department helping to maintain and repair the music equipment. Tara is a credit to the school.

Davina was nominated for the Jack Petchey Award for February 2019. Davina has been given this Award foracting as a Peer Mentor to a younger student. She supported her throughout her first year here and helpedher settle into Hedingham School life. Davina is a credit to the school and a kind and thoughtful student.

Congratulations to Jasmine Smith: she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for November 2018.
Jasmine was nominated for realising that her mother’s sickness bug wasn’t quite “normal”. Jasmine investigated the symptoms via the internet and insisted that her mother went to hospital. Her quick thinking saved her mother’s life and it was a brave and clever act.

Congratulations to Jason Sones: he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for November 2017.
Jason was nominated for playing a key part in performing on the piano at our Open Evenings and other formal occasions. He has supported the Headteacher by being professional and reliable at all times. Jason has to prepare for these performances which he willingly takes on with enthusiasm. Jason also helps to raise the profile of Music within the school by giving such high quality performances.

Jamie was nominated for singlehandedly setting up Creative Designs selling jewellery. The proceeds of which she has kindly donated to the school to reinvest in other business opportunities in the future. She is a credit to our school community and we are very proud of what she has achieved.

Chloe was nominated for giving up her time to help out at the Colchester Homeless Shelter on Wednesday evenings. Chloe collects, and distributes, clothes to help keep people warm and dry in the winter. She is a credit to our school community and we are very proud of what she has achieved.

Congratulations to Alex Walder; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for March 2017. 
Alex was nominated for giving up his time to help teach a GCSE class how to use the ‘Sketchup’ CAD software. In addition he volunteered to be student ambassador for Design Technology during the recent Open Evening and worked tirelessly all evening with prospective students and parents to promote the department and school. He is a conscientious member of the school community.
